Changelog
All notable changes to the hutfx project are documented in this file.
The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.
How to use this file:
- For every change, add a bullet under
## [Unreleased]in the same commit. - Use the sections
Added,Changed,Deprecated,Removed,Fixed,Security. - On release: give the section a version number and date, bump the version, and open a fresh
[Unreleased]block. - Never rewrite an already-released entry — add a new one instead.
Unreleased
Added
meetings/: daily raw work log (one dated file per working session). First entry2026-11-01.md. Standing rule added to the home page: NEO documents work into categories + writes the daily meeting log proactively.
Changed
- Wiki restructure (2026-11-01, NEO): docs reorganized into
web/(website/service plans),technical/(servers, network, domains, sysadmin),development/(workflow, stack, snippets, house rules);plans/dissolved. Home pageindex.mdexplains every directory; each directory got anindex.md. Rendered wiki now live at http://doc.hutfx.com/ (rebuild via/home/sato/bin/build-wiki, raw sources under/raw/).
Added
doc/plans/2026-11-01-dev-environments.md: accepted plan for the per-user dev environments (design + implementation record).doc/development-workflow.md: permanent team workflow — branch model (main / active_work / feature branches + PRs), per-user dev environments on hut, daily loop, team mail list, credentials policy. Adopted 2026-11-01.
Added
doc/folder as the documentation home: changelogs, plans, and project files (all in Markdown). Includesplans/TEMPLATE.mdandprojects/TEMPLATE.md.- Public documentation browser at
/doc(dark theme, matches the landing page): sidebar lists every Markdown file underdoc/and renders the selected file server-side (CommonMark + GFM: tables, task lists, strikethrough; raw HTML is escaped). Path traversal and non-Markdown files are rejected with 404. In the page header the hutfx logo/wordmark is the link back home (no separate "Home" menu item). league/commonmarkpromoted to a direct dependency for the Markdown rendering.- Mermaid diagram support in the
/docbrowser:```mermaidfenced blocks in any doc file are drawn client-side (mermaid.js, dark theme, loaded only on/docpages). Documented indoc/README.md; first demo diagram inplans/2026-08-16-product-vision.md. - The
/docsidebar is now collapsible: a hamburger toggle above the content opens/closes the file list (collapsed by default so the main content uses the full width; the choice is remembered per browser via localStorage). - The dashboard now has a "Linear function" section: a Chart.js line chart of
y = 2x + 3forx = 1..10(dark theme, tooltips on hover), rendered client-side from a dedicatedresources/js/dashboard.jsVite entry. - The
hutfxwordmark's last two letters now read as the math functionf(x)in a LaTeX-style math font (self-hosted STIX Two Text — italic f and x, upright parentheses), applied to every brand sign: landing header - hero, dashboard nav, docs header, and the login/register page title.
- Product planning documents (drafts, awaiting owner review):
projects/hutfx.md— platform goal, proposed scope, and milestone roadmap;plans/2026-08-16-product-vision.md— proposed functionalities & services with open questions. Both browsable at/doc. plans/2026-08-17-pipelineengine.md— working description of the Pipeline Engine (website spec section 3, "Model Builder"): the reusable pipeline tool — choose a dataset, process it through modules on an infinite dot canvas (clean / calculate / graph / Python sandbox / IF-else blocks), view the result, then save it as a module (composable into other pipelines), a research record, or export it to other services (ML/LLM, device signal, …). Draft, being described with the owner; linked from the website spec (section 3) andprojects/hutfx.md.- The Pipeline Engine description (
plans/2026-08-17-pipelineengine.md) now folds in the owner's locked section 3 description from the website spec: the four data-loading paths (select / upload / live source / Data Router), predefined pipeline templates vs. a blank canvas, user-defined custom modules, visual sliders for params and hyperparams, natural-language instructions converted to code + config files, modules as backend config files (direct edit for advanced users), sandbox languages (Python, R, Julia), results feeding the Research dashboard for comparing iterations, and modules sold on the Market. A new "Naming & terminology" section records the owner's preferred name ("pipeline builder"), the "architect" / "constructor" wording, and the nested-canvas concept for training / quantum-algorithm modules. Open questions already answered by the section 3 description are marked as answered in the doc. - The Pipeline Engine doc now records a proposed canvas approach:
Svelte Flow (
@xyflow/svelte1.6.3 — the official Svelte port of React Flow by the xyflow team; Svelte 5, MIT): dot-grid background, handles, minimap/controls built in, and subflows out of the box (matching the owner's nested-canvas note). Pattern: Svelte as a widget runtime mounted from Blade via a dedicated Vite entry — stack impact and trade-offs are documented in the plan. Awaiting owner confirmation; the description is not fully locked yet.
Changed
- Wordmark overlap fix: removed the
-0.1emmargin that pulled𝑓into thet— at the hero's size (60px) the collision was clearly visible. The two fonts' natural metrics (t right bearing 0.027em + 𝑓 left bearing 0.01em) already produce a tight gap, sohut𝑓(𝑥)now renders with the same tight spacing at every size, no overlap. - Wordmark math tail refinements: the gap between
hutand the math part is tightened (negative margin offsets the math glyph's wide side bearing), the parentheses are back — it reads𝑓(𝑥)— and the math part now renders unbolded (weight 400, no faux-bold) and slightly larger (1.1em) thanhut. The STIX Two Math subset now also includes the parentheses glyphs. - The wordmark math tail now uses true Unicode Mathematical Italic glyphs —
𝑓 (U+1D453) and 𝑥 (U+1D465) — instead of synthesized italics, and the
parentheses are gone (the tail reads
𝑓𝑥). Self-hosted STIX Two Text was replaced by a subset of STIX Two Math (public/fonts/stix-two-math-math.woff2, the Mathematical Alphanumerics block U+1D400–U+1D7FF only), withNoto Serif Math/Cambria Mathas system fallbacks. - Changelog now lives at
doc/CHANGELOG.md(moved out of the repository root). - Authenticated navigation: the logo/wordmark now links to the landing page (home), and the redundant "Dashboard" nav link (desktop + mobile menus) was removed from the dashboard.
- The logged-in user's name is now shown in the header on every page
(landing,
/doc, dashboard). It opens a dropdown containing the Dashboard, Profile, and Log Out actions — the standalone "Dashboard" button on the landing and doc pages moved into that dropdown.
Fixed
- API routes (
routes/api.php) were never registered inbootstrap/app.php, soGET /api/v0/healthandPOST /api/v0/telemetryalways returned 404 — now registered under the/apiprefix. HealthApiTestrequested/apiv0/health(missing slash) and could never match the real route — now asserts against/api/v0/health.
0.2.0 - 2026-08-15
Added
- Authentication: registration, login with "remember me", Google OAuth sign-in, forgot/reset password, email verification, password confirmation.
- Dashboard page for signed-in users.
- Profile page: update name/email, change password, delete account (confirmation modal).
- Auth controllers, requests, routes, and Blade views (login, register, forgot/reset password, verify email, confirm password, dashboard, profile).
- Dark theme across all pages, matching the landing page: app & guest layouts, navigation bar, all auth pages, profile pages, and shared components (inputs, labels, buttons, dropdowns, nav links, modal).
